PSG do not trust Mauricio Pochettino as coach and many people have been linked to replace the Argentine, especially after Kylian Mbappe renewed his contract.
Zinedine Zidane is Parisians’ first choice to become the new coach for next season despite turning down the French giants several times. Zidane is thinking of becoming the France coach after the World Cup.
However, PSG, as showed with Mbappe, do not give up and reportedly met with the former Real Madrid coach last week. That was announced this Tuesday by ‘Mundo Deportivo’ journalist Ramon Fuentes.
The offer Zidane had on the table would have made him the best coach in the world. That is because he would earn 25 million euros net a year. He would therefore get more than Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid (24) and Pep Guardiola at Man City (23).
There is nothing agreed and they decided to meet again in the coming days although the coach is now enjoying some time with his family in Ibiza where he will study the offer and consider whether to accept the offer from Paris or to keep waiting for the national team appointment.
