Activities to mark the first anniversary of the passing of music icon, Olanrewaju Fasasi, aka Sound Sultan have kicked off in full gear.
In addition to the highly anticipated release of his first post-humous studio release, “Reality Chq”, set to drop in July; Now Muzik, managers of the Sound Sultan estate, have announced the collaboration between Naija Ninja and foremost home-grown fashion brand, NACK Apparel, towards the launch of the late icon’s merch line, Sound Sultan Eternal.
In line with the late Sultan’s vision of nurturing and empowering young talents, there will be a fashion graphic design competition, tagged NACK x NAIJA NINJA for SOUND SULTAN DESIGN COMPETITION.
The competition, inviting entries from all over Nigeria and beyond, is an online contest for the Sound Sultan Eternal (SSE) line of apparel and accessories, offers fair and equal opportunity to young, up-and-coming fashion graphic designers.
Entries are opened from May 2 to May 12, with a selection process taking place from the May 15 to 18, and the finale on May 19 where the winners will be announced.
The winner of the competition will get a grand prize of ₦1,000,000 and the opportunity to design bespoke SSE merch. The first runner-up goes home with a prize of ₦300,000, while the second runner-up gets ₦200,000.
Celebrity judges for the online competition are Toke Makinwa, Basketmouth, Baba Dee, and NACK Apparel CEO, Tolulope Akin.
