Mr. Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager (RGM), for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), has stated that the company’s goal is to equip Nigerian youths with entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy and anti-fraud awareness skills, among other initiatives which foster growth.

Fall stated this in his opening remarks when the international direct selling company held this year’s media sharing experience forum – a Webinar, tagged: ‘My V-Malaysia 2023 Experience’ on November 1, 2023, a platform where participants at the recently-concluded 2023 organised V-Convention in Malaysia event shared their exciting moments and insights.

The V-Convention 2023 (VCON), which took place in September, was designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of QNET operations as an international lifestyle and wellness direct-selling company.

According to him: “The issue of service leadership is what makes QNET stand out. Since our entry into Nigeria, we have maintained our promise to introduce initiatives that foster growth and equip Nigerian youths with entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and anti-fraud awareness skills. One such initiative is FinGreen. FinGreen is QNET’s Signature Financial Literacy Programme, which aims to empower the youth and women to be financially literate and achieve financial freedom while building generational wealth.”

In setting the records straight, he delved into history to explain how QNET made her entry into Nigeria.

“In April 2022, our official entry into Nigeria was marked by a significant partnership with Transblue Limited, a local customer service compliance and logistics company. This partnership has been instrumental in connecting Nigerians to QNET’s global network and empowering the youths.”

Some participants of the V-Convention in Malaysia shared their experiences during the webinar event.

For Veronica Dan Ikpoyi, a broadcaster with Television Continental (TVC), in Lagos,Nigeria, the V-Convention in Malaysia was electrifying and memorable.

In her words: “It was electrifying and a carnival in nature. A lot of people were looking forward to when the Founder of the company, Vijay Eswaran, would walk in, and when he did, it was like some god walked in, but beyond that was humility.” She said that the chairman of the company is an embodiment of humility.

“The Founder’s leadership element is what I will appeal that everyone should emulate,” she noted.

Speaking on the 25 years of operation of the company, Ikpoyi said that resilience is what is keeping the company. “You can resilience and you can see them matching forward after 25 years. I learnt the lesson of resilience. Looking at the number of delegates, over 12,000 in number, if QNET had looked at obstacles and dropped on the way, they wouldn’t be where they are today.” She said QNET touches lives and they have touched her life specially.

Another participant at the V-Convention in Malaysia, Funmilola Gboteku, Principal Correspondent at News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), recounted the thrilling moments she witnessed and experienced during the entire outing as exciting and a fantastic experience. “I have never seen such a crowd in my life, the way everybody was dancing, it was a Joyous moment. It offered a deeper understanding of the workings of QNET as a company.

Corroborating the view of Veronica Dan Ikpoyi on the perception of the QNET to be known for resilience in face of resistance, Gbokeku said: “I like the fact that the company talked about ethical practices, now I have better understanding, it is not a get rich quick company; the company equips the people through networking.

Speaking on VCON, Fall said: “Annually, QNET brings together a diverse assembly of business leaders from different sectors and countries, including; network marketing experts, international entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in Penang, Malaysia, for our flagship event – V-Convention. In September, QNET held V-Con 2023 in Malaysia, which had some selected journalists from tier-1 media outlets in Nigeria were invited to attend the event.

“V-Con 2023 in Malaysia was a pivotal five-day event for QNET’s customers and distributors. It provided a platform for deepening product knowledge, engaging with experts, and experiencing dynamic demonstrations. Attendees also benefited from business-building sessions and gained insights from accomplished distributors, solidifying our global commitment to growth and learning in the network marketing community,” Fall stated.
