Nigeria Customs Service Rewards Diligence, As Yusuf Bows Out With Comptroller Rank

Alhaji Musa Yusuf has bowed out of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, with the enviable rank of Comptroller.

He was among the newly-promoted Comptrollers decorated on Tuesday at the Service Headquarters, Abuja.

After putting in a meritorious service for fatherland, the immediate past Coordinator, CGC Strike Force Zone ‘C’, the Yobe State-born senior Customs officer’s time at the saddle has come to a commendable end at the Service.

Yusuf attended St. Paul’s Primary School and Government Secondary School, both in Yobe. He later went to the School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Thereafter, young Yusuf proceeded to same university to study Architecture and bagged a Bsc and an MSc in the process.

Alhaji Musa Yusuf joined Nigeria Customs Service as a young officer determined to discharge his duty meritoriously. He vowed never to compromise and neither to be found guilty nor wanting but to be upright, humane and a good team player with ability to serve under any conditions – be it conducive or not – but with a goal to overcome whenever needs arise in the process of carrying out his duty as an officer with the Nigeria Customs Service, with the nation’s interest at heart.

He began his sterling career in Niger State as the OC Patrol of the Operations Department, served as Kebbi OC ACG squad, worked as Katsina OC Roving and Command Monitoring Team.

He was transferred to NCS Zone A, Lily Pound Command, as OC Bounding & Bulk Cargo Seats.

He also spareheaded the team that hatched a special operation on water to stop the flow of parboiled rice on Benin-Badagry waters, making a massive seizure on the sea during the administration of late CGC Dikko Abdullahi Inde.

He was called upon to serve at EI&I Headquarters; worked at FOU Zone D; FOU Bauch-D Operations, Port Harcourt Area 1 Command as NPA 2IC, Joe-Eboje Bonded Terminal and Zone B.

Lastly, he worked at Zone A CGC Strike Force Enforcement unit Apapa Area Command, a Coordinator with yet unbeatable seizures’ records.
