Napoli President Goes To Court Over Victor Osimhen Fraud Case

Napoli’s CEO, De Laurentiis, faced interrogation in Rome over alleged false accounting in Victor Osimhen’s transfer

Napoli’s CEO, Aurelio De Laurentiis, found himself under the legal microscope today as he was interrogated by prosecutors in Rome regarding alleged false accounting in the transfer of striker Victor Osimhen from Lille.

The investigation revolves around claims that Napoli artificially inflated the value of players involved in the deal to meet the transfer fee.

According to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Aurelio De Laurentiis, along with his lawyer Fabio Fulgeri, faced a barrage of questions at the Rome prosecutor’s office.

The Napoli chief, not currently facing trial, was cooperative as he addressed queries related to the alleged financial irregularities surrounding Osimhen’s transfer.

The shadow of suspicion also looms over the entire Napoli board, with investigations broadening to encompass the club’s top brass. While De Laurentiis remains at the center of the storm, the ripple effects of this controversy have engulfed the Serie A outfit, bringing the club under intense scrutiny and raising questions about the integrity of the transfer dealings.
