Details have emerged how Galatasaray have generated the money to pay star striker Victor Osimhen his huge annual salary of 21 million euros after tax. This is crucial, as Turkish clubs are allegedly notorious for owing players’ salaries.

According to Turkish publication Fanatik, the sale of the exclusive ‘Osimhen Boxes’ generated the most cash of about 15 million euros.

The special edition boxes ‘Solo il Gala’ that had the striker’s signed jersey as well as trademark facial mask among other special merchandise items were snapped up by the club’s fans to bring in the much-needed money.

It was also reported that due to the Osimhen effect, Galatasaray were able to increase the prices of their hospitality boxes at their matches and this brought in an additional 15 million euros.

More cash flowed from advertising revenues.

The €6 million image rights fee for the star striker has already been covered by three separate advertising film agreements.

It has been learned that commercial contracts with the companies are nearing the signing stage, and with this move, the management has managed to absorb a significant portion of the cost through advertising revenue.
