Says APC Has Succeeded In Destroying The Country

Edo State Governor, Mr.Godwin Obaseki, on Monday urged members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state to put aside their differences in ensuring victory for the party, saying the party cannot afford to be in opposition again, following the damage the APC government has done to the country.
Obaseki, who is Chairman, PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Edo State, gave the charge during the swearing in ceremony of members of Edo State Campaign Management Committee (SCMC), to be headed by a Director, Chief Osaro Idah, in Benin City, Edo State.
According to him, the Council is made up of nine deputy directors heading nine directorates namely: Media & Publicity, Field Operations, Election Management, Research and Strategy, Finance, Volunteer Groups, Security, Religious and Cultural Engagement, as well as Documentation and Reporting.
Obaseki, who appealed for unity among its members, said there is no division in the Edo State chapter of party, even though some few persons maybe aggrieved.
He added that the 2023 general election is going to be technical, noting that the members of the party have shown to have experience, and urged them to go to work and not to take chances.
Obaseki, while soliciting for all members of the PDP to be actively involved in the task of rescuing the country from the ruling APC said, “No government has done the kind of damage the APC government has done to this country. The debt profile of Nigeria is going to N60 trillion.”
Admonishing Nigerians to reject the other political parties, Obaseki said the country needs the PDP to come to its rescue, stressing that “Edo state is ready to help rescue Nigeria. We are going to put everything we have to ensure PDP wins the presidential election and all other seats for the National Assembly and State Assembly elections.
“I believe that this should be an easy election for us if we can play right.”
“The APC has destroyed the basis of this country. They have failed and threatened the existence of this country. We will unify this country and reduce the difference we have. We will rebuild the country to what God wants it to be.”
“God forbid APC wins again, the country will break up.The country has collapsed.The APC has threatened the existence of this country. We (PDP) will unify this country. Besides, we know how to handle those who said they are obedient. They will soon run out of steam, said Obaseki.
In his speech, Edo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, thanked leaders of the party for all the support so far and sued for more, particularly in the coming months ahead of the general elections.
