Top Nollywood Actors, Celebs Launch ‘FUND40MB’ Donation Campaign For Peter Obi

Nigeria’s top celebrities and celebrated Nollywood actors, as well as stakeholders in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, have launched a campaign Donation platform, ”FUND40MB”, a global political donor fundraising movement aimed to help create and build the “War chest” or operational funds needed by the major support groups of Peter Obi and other credible candidates across party lines vying into various offices, be it Governors or Lawmakers in the 2023 general elections.

The move is also to generate sufficient funds to be deployed to enable various NGOs and CSOs to address the existing and potential threats of voter apathy, violence and vote rigging.

A front line human right Activist and high profile social entrepreneur, Comrade Kennedy Iyere, who birthed the Initiative and cum the Chief Fundraiser of the FUND 40Million Ballots Donation Campaign disclosed that the campaign is being championed globally in collaboration with other pro Obi support group driven by top Nigerian superstars and high profile celebrities under the umbrella of ”Celebrities For Peter Obi”, CEPO.

Led by top rated Actress and ”Mother of Nollywood”, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as “MAMA G”, the FUND40MB Donation Campaign according to the initiator, will be driven across the globe in order to fundraise and generate adequate operational funds for the major support groups of Peter Obi, especially, Peter Obi Support Network (POSN), TakeBackNaija, Peter Obi Movement, PPGN, Women For Peter Obi, Like Minds For Peter Obi, Northern Coalition For Peter Obi, Up North Ambassadors for Obi-Datti, Peter Obi Movement Diaspora and 9JA, Docs&Medics 4 Peter Obi, Peter Obi Vanguard Ambassadors and Physically Challenged Persons For Obi-Datti.

Comrade Iyere reiterated that apart from the outlined Peter Obi Support Groups, several NGOs, CSOs, FBOs, Cooperative Groups and other Social Networks shall likewise benefit from the FUND40MB Donation Campaign because they will derive a share of the funds generated, in order to enable them to address certain existing threats that may hinder the credibility of the electoral processes and outcomes, particularly the risks of human rights violation, electoral violence and vote rigging among others.

“This fundraising drive will be taken from door-to-door, neighbourhood to neighbourhood, city to city, coast to coast and country to country, until we hit our target or goal, which is to ensure that sufficient funds is raised for the support groups of Peter Obi and other credible gubernatorial and parliamentary candidates across party lines, as well as NGOs, CSOs, FBOs and other related groups pragmatically working for Nigeria’s peaceful and credible democratic transition in 2023,” Iyere stated.

On her part, Patience Ozokwor, also known as “MAMA G”, disclosed that the FUND40MB Donation Campaign will generate sufficient funds to support the “Obedient Movement” in the efforts to enforce the victory of Peter Obi in 2023.

Ozokwor, therefore, appealed to Nigerians and global donors to make sacrificial and generous donations into the account which she displayed to journalists.

“For the sake of our children’s future and posterity. Please donate to assist this cause, Peter Obi must be elected Nigeria’s president in 2023 for the betterment of all and that of the country as a whole,” Mama G stated while corroborating Iyere’s declarations that Peter Obi remains the best and only option among the Presidential candidates in the race for 2023.

Other superstars and top celebrities who also made compassionate appeal and mind blowing remarks designed to compel the interest and arrest the conscience and minds of Nigerians and global donors towards making sacrificial and generous financial contributions in support of the FUND40MB Donation Campaign include; Charles Oputa (popularly known as Charley Boy or Area Father), Emeka Rollas, Paul Obazele, Alex Osifo, Klint Da Drunk, Ime Bishop (Okon), John Okafor(Mr Ibu), Jerry Williams, Rita Arum, Joyce Kalu and Steve Eboh.

A persuasive and Heart warming speech was delivered by the Special Guest of honour at the event and former Chairman of ICAN, Emmanuel lIjewere while a Special Guest, Dr T.J Eherim also flew in from Johannesburg, South Africa to identify with the group.
