NIGERIA: President Bola Tinubu has concluded his visit to Saudi Arabia, saying he used the opportunity to pray for peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria and the well-being of all Nigerians.
The President disclosed this on Monday in a post on his verified X handle, @officialABAT, following his religious visit to the Kingdom.
Tinubu described the visit as a demonstration of the enduring bonds of faith, friendship and mutual respect between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
He departed Abuja on Thursday, October 29, for Saudi Arabia, where he performed the lesser Hajj (Umrah) at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, in Makkah.
In his latest post, the President said he and members of his delegation had the rare privilege of entering the Holy Kaaba to pray and performing Umrah.
He wrote: “I have concluded my visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where, together with members of my delegation, I had the rare honour of entering the Holy Kaaba to pray, and of performing Umrah.”
Tinubu expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for granting him and his delegation the privilege.
He also commended the Saudi leaders for their hospitality and brotherly care, describing the gesture as a reflection of the longstanding relationship between both countries.
The President added: “In those sacred moments, I prayed for peace, unity and prosperity for our dear nation and for all Nigerians.”
