In furtherance of the various human development initiatives of HRM, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has launched “The Tech Challenge”, a new contest for tech-savvy youths in Warri, Delta State.
The monarch said the contest was to positively impact the lives of the people and open up a new and exciting chapter in Warri Kingdom.
The challenge, according to the royal father, required the applicants to apply technological solutions to solve contemporary problems prevalent in the society.
The Tech Challenge was open to talented youths with passion for technological innovation and state-of-the-art digital solutions, who are either indigenes or residents of Warri and its environs, between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
The Tech Challenge has a cash prize of N1m and a golden opportunity for the winners to showcase their skills and position themselves for global relevance.
To be eligible, applicants are expected go through a thorough screening and assessment process and also meet the three criteria for selecting, which included the ability to identify a problem, design a creative solution and incorporate relevant features of digital technology into the solution.
The applicants were enjoined to submit completed forms by linking onto www.oluofwarritech.com, from September this year.
