The Labour Party, LP, has released a list of nominated Zonal Coordinators for contacts, mobilisation and grassroots engagement for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council. This move is in continuation of strengthening its campaign machinery for the 2023 General Elections.
The Party, working through its Grassroots Mobilisation, Contacts & Engagements Directorate, made a number of appointments recently. In an internal memo made available to our Correspondent, and signed by Sir Olawale Okunniyi, (Veteran Che), National Chief Mobiliser, ObiDatti-Labour Party 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, LPPCC, the Directorate announced the appointment of three Zonal Coordinators for Grassroots Mobilisation; Contacts & Mobilisation; and Special Duties for the six geo-political zones of the country. This saw the appointment of Comrade Adewole Omosebi Egbodofo as the Zonal Coordinator, Special Duties in charge of the South-West Zone.
Born Sunday Adewole Egbodofo to Prince Simeon Omosebi Egbodofo, an accomplished teacher popularly known as ‘Baba Fonen (Phonetics) from Ode Ajagba, and Princess Janet Ebun Egbodofo, (from Adeyemi family of Igodan Lisa), both from the Ikale stock in Ondo State, ‘Wole Egbodofo had both his primary and secondary school education in Okitipupa before proceeding to The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo State and University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria for training Banking and Finance, and Finance respectively.
Now officially known as and addressed as Emmanuel Adewole Omosebi Egbodofo, Comrade ‘Wole Egbodofo has over 20 years of cognate experience in Finance and Banking, having worked in First City Monument Bank (FCMB), United Mortgage Bank Limited (now Providus Bank Plc), O3 Cards Limited (the first private issuer of credit cards in Nigeria), and other financial institutions, since starting his banking career at the defunct Metropolitan Bank Limited in October 2002.
Presently, he is the Executive Director (ED), Financial Brokerage Services, Venture Capital & Personal Wealth Management in Great Rivabank Investments Limited, a financial supermarket located in Lekki Peninsula of Lagos, the financial and economic capital of Nigeria.
