Jimmy, the first son of deceased founder of The Fountain of Life Church, Taiwo Odukoya, has been announced as the new senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Taiwo Odukoya.
The installation service will hold on Saturday, September 30, 2023 where Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Misson and other clergymen will ordain him for the new charge.
The announcement was made during the church service on Sunday by Pastor Rotimi Okpaise, a member of the Church’s BoT. Okpaise said the late Odukoya confided in the Board of Trustees (BoT) members about the succession plan after his demise.
According to Okpaise, the BoT unanimously elected Jimmy as the senior pastor and chairperson of the board. Pastor Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, the late Odukoya’s first daughter, has also been named as the new Associate Pastor.
Jimmy is an actor popularly known for his role in the 2022 movie, ‘Woman King’.
He is the first son and second child of late Pastors Taiwo and Bimbo Odukoya.
He had his primary and secondary education in Lagos before moving to the United States of America, where he earned his first degree in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jimmy got his ministerial license in early 2009 and was ordained pastor at Fountain of Life Church the next year.
He married his wife, Kemi, in London on March 9, 2013, and their marriage is blessed with two children.
Pastor J, as he fondly called, lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he became active in Greenwood Christian Center under Bishop Gary and Debie McIntosh.
