Nigeria Striker Onuachu Completes Trabzonspor Switch

Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has completed a permanent move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor after successfully passing his medical, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The towering 31-year-old forward has signed a three-year contract with the club, marking his return after a productive loan spell two seasons ago, where he netted 17 goals in 25 appearances.

Onuachu becomes Trabzonspor’s latest addition ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, joining recent signing Joaquin Pina, with a deal for Jean-Charles Castelletto also nearing completion.

The club had teased his return days ago, unveiling his name on the NFC section of their jersey.

In a promotional video, the Nigerian expressed his excitement, saying he’s eager to wear the Trabzonspor colours again and fight for the badge.

Earlier in the day, the club posted a video of Onuachu aboard his flight to Turkey on their official X account. The striker greeted fans saying: “Hello Trabzonspor fans. I’m on my way to join you guys. I hope to see you all at the airport. Bize Her Yer Trabzon!”
