France Football have announced the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy nominees.
They are Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham, Germany), Cata Coll (Barcelona, Spain), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea, England), Chiamaka Nnadozie (Brighton, Nigeria) and Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal, The Netherlands).
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie was named the Best Goalkeeper of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2024, after a string of commanding performances helped guide the Super Falcons to the final of the tournament.
Nnadozie was a cornerstone of Nigeria’s success throughout the competition. From the opening match of the group stage, she showed her quality — organizing the backline with authority and pulling off crucial saves at pivotal moments. Her ability to read the game and respond with lightning-fast reflexes proved invaluable as the Super Falcons advanced through one of the most competitive editions of the tournament in recent memory.
She becomes the first African to be nominated for this prestigious award.
The Yachine Trophy is given to the best goalkeeper of the season. This will be the first edition of Yachine Trophy in women’s football.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place in Paris on September 22. Only the performances in the previous season will be taken into account.
