LAGOS, Nigeria – In a vibrant celebration of love, family, and tradition, Ifedolapo Abisogun and Oluseye Ogunsola were joined in holy matrimony on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in a grand Yoruba wedding ceremony that brought together two prominent families – the Abisoguns of Isale Eko, Lagos, and the Ogunsolas of Ona-Ara, Ibadan.

The wedding, held at the prestigious Nigerian Navy Dockyard on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, was a true spectacle of elegance and culture. Dignitaries, clergy, friends, and family members filled the beautifully decorated venue, which radiated with dazzling lights, floral arrangements, and the palpable joy of well-wishers.

Guests enjoyed an elaborate array of local and international cuisine, complemented by premium beverages – a testament to the couple’s impeccable taste and the families’ commitment to hosting a memorable event. The ceremony was widely praised for its flawless organisation and festive atmosphere.

The couple – resplendent in a series of striking traditional and modern outfits – were the focal point of the day as they danced joyfully to both indigenous and contemporary music, flanked by their bridesmaids, groomsmen, and loved ones.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Gboyega Abisogun, father of the bride and Leader of the God’s Men of Valour (GMOV) at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Akute Mega Regional Headquarters, Southwest 229, expressed deep gratitude and pride.

“It is a profound joy for me and my wife to witness and partake in this special day,” he said. “Our daughter, Ifedolapo, is a woman of virtue, raised in the way of the Lord. Her husband, Oluseye, is a promising and godly young man. I am confident that their union will be blessed and fruitful. My prayer is that they remain rooted in Christ and that their home will be built on righteousness.”

The bride, Ifedolapo, is a granddaughter of the late Chief Akintunde Abisogun – the revered Akinsiku of Lagos, popularly known as “Lord Mayor” and “Baba Iron Gate.” Her father, Pastor Gboyega Abisogun, is the youngest child of the late Lagos chief. The groom, Oluseye, hails from the distinguished Ogunsola family in Olorunda, Ona-Ara, Ibadan, Oyo State, and is the son of Mr. Kolapo and Mrs. Oluwatosin Ogunsola.

Spiritual oversight of the event was led by Pastor (Dr.) Ayodeji Paul Smith, Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Akute Mega Regional Headquarters, Southwest 229, who was accompanied by his wife, Pastor (Dr.) Beatrice Adebimpe Smith. The officiating clergy also included several high-ranking MFM pastors and elders: Pastor Aranmolate, Pastor Olukunle Oluwole, Pastor (Engr.) Afolabi and his wife, Mummy Modupe Afolabi, Assembly Pastor Olusegun Gbenga, Pastor David Oyekola (Mega Regional Administrator), and Pastor Eddy Rowland of the Youth Church.

Other distinguished attendees included Elder Tayo Afolabi of the HMC, Elder Ayorinde (Head of the Marriage Committee), Sister Amina Omoike, Personal Assistant to Mummy MRO, and her husband, Bro. Benjamin Omoike, Bro. Adeniyi Akintade, Bro. Prior Aghulor, Bro. Mike Erukuebami, Sister Dosunmu and leaders from various MFM departments and groups, all of whom came out in full force to support the Abisogun and Ogunsola families.

Friends and well wishers of the Ogunsolas equally made their presence felt in a mix of beautiful camaraderie and glamour.

The union of Ifedolapo and Oluseye was not only a celebration of love but also a joyful merging of two notable Yoruba lineages. It was a day marked by laughter, tradition, elegance, and above all, divine blessings – a wedding that will be remembered for years to come.
