The president of Burkina Faso Ibrahim Traoré has decried over how the Super Eagles of Nigeria bagged the FIFA world cup 26 ticket at the expense of his country.
Traore has asked FIFA and the Confederation of African football, CAF to provide answers to how Nigeria could have qualified for the play off at the expense of the Stallions of Burkina Faso.
The aggrieved Burkinabe football boss has faulted CAF’s decision to reduce points from the lowly ranked team in each group, in the aftermath of the withdrawal of Eritrea, knocking the process in its entirety.
The furious football honcho demanded from FIFA and CAF to explain the criteria adopted in making the decision that tumbled his side strong finish in the campaign.
He said they were shocked to find out that Nigeria had advanced to the playoff stage ahead of the Stallions of Burkina Faso.
