‘Come Into My Life’ Singer, Joyce Sims Dies At 63

Joyce Sims of ‘Come into my life’ fame has died at the age of 63, it has been announced on social media.

The R&B singer-songwriter died yesterday, according to Chelsea Football Club’s CJ Carlos.

Joyce is best known for her top 10 hit ‘Come Into My Life’, which reached the top 10 in both the US Billboard R&B Chart and the UK Singles Chart in 1987/88.

The cause of Joyce’s death is yet to be confirmed, but tributes to the late singer have already been pouring in from fans.

Andrew Fairbairn tweeted: “Shocked to hear about the passing of #JoyceSims at age 63.

“It was a privilege to see her perform at #thejazzcafe in London, England on August 29th 2022. R.I.P.”

While Sunshine Brown wrote: “Rest in peace, love, and music Joyce Sims. Condolences and prayers go out to her family and loved ones.”

Attaching pictures of some of Joyce’s records, Jonathan Shecter wrote: “Just learned of the passing of the incredible Joyce Sims, the dazzling vocalist whose work with Mantronik stands at the pinnacle of 80s electro: sonically flawless, elegant, futuristic yet rooted in soul.

“Massive fan of all 3 of the records below. Rest peacefully Ms Sims!” (sic)

Sharing a link to the track All and All, Trevor Jackson penned: “R.I.P Joyce Sims, incredible Mantronik production, massive tune in the UK.

“Groundbreaking records were released every couple of weeks during that era but this was on another level.”

DJ Dave Haslam shared: “Sad news this morning. RIP Joyce Sims (August 6, 1959 – October 15, 2022) an incredibly talented singer and songwriter. Those songs – what a legacy.”

Phil Rostron tweeted: “Awful news to wake up to the passing of Joyce Sims. What a singer, what a voice.

“So, so many great tracks from my dancing days. Sleep well girl, your music will go on for many, many years.”

Dr. Marc added: “Remembering R&B Diva Joyce Sims. One of the best to ever do it and gave us incredible dance hits like: All in All, Come Into My Life.
