Lagos Christian Pilgrims Board Begins First Phase Of 2025 Pilgrimage Screening

Lagos commences preparatory exercise for holy pilgrimage to Israel, Jordan

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) will on Thursday, November 27, 2025, commence the first phase of its medical and administrative screening for Christians preparing for the annual pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan.

The exercise is scheduled to take place at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Ikeja.

Speaking on Ojutaye, a Radio Lagos 107.5 FM programme, the Board Secretary, Dr. Okudero Gbolabo Omoniyi, explained that the screening is a crucial step to ensure that intending pilgrims meet all health and documentation requirements before embarking on the spiritual journey.

He urged participants to arrive with all necessary documents, including proof of payment, two passport-sized photographs, photocopies of their international passport biodata page, and duly completed DSS forms.

Dr. Omoniyi added that the screening venue will also serve as a registration point for interested Christians who wish to obtain forms and participate in the second phase of the exercise. He expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government for its continued support, noting that its commitment has helped maintain high standards of service and safety for pilgrims.

The Director, Public Affairs Unit of the Board, Mrs. Ebunoluwa Olagoke, issued the statement on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
