FLORIDA, USA – Still basking in the euphoria of his widely appealing recent cut, “With You,“ featuring Oma Lay, Davido, one of Nigeria’s popular music acts, and his heartthrob, Chioma Rowland, Saturday, in Florida, officially celebrated their love with a lavish white wedding.
The hugely publicised event took place at the upscale Mana Wynwood Convention Centre, attracting an elite gathering of Nigerian celebrities, business tycoons, and political figures.
Davido made a dramatic arrival in a custom white Lamborghini Revuelto, which he revealed was a personal gift to himself.
Chioma, on the other hand, graced the venue in a luxurious white Rolls Royce, her face elegantly veiled as she walked down the aisle.
The groom, decked out in a sleek brown tuxedo, cheered alongside guests, while Chioma stunned in a traditional white wedding gown.
The wedding party was a who’s-who of Nigerian entertainment and business elites. Davido’s groomsmen included his manager, Asa Asika; cousin, B-Red; talent manager, Ubi Franklin; and UFC champion Kamaru Usman.
Dignitaries in attendance included Obi Cubana, the socialite; Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State governor; billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote and former Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
Others are, Ikuku Michael, a Nigerian businessman; Teni, Stoneboy, Zlatan Ibile, and Djimon Hounsou, the US actor.
Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, also led a host of high-profile guests to the event.
The wedding service was officiated by a trio of respected clergymen, Joseph Adebisi Ola, a retired President of Seventh Day Adventist, Nigeria Union Mission, Maryland, Lagos; Tunde Ojewole, the senior pastor of Lane Region Conference of Seventh Day Adventist, Indianapolis; and David Olubukola Ajide, senior pastor, Victory Sanctuary, Seventh Day Adventist, Lekki, Lagos.
Davido proposed to Chioma in 2019, but their relationship faced challenges in 2021 amid allegations that the singer was involved in another relationship.
The couple lost Ifeanyi, their first child together, on October 30, 2022.
However, in March 2023, the singer disclosed that he and Chioma had officially married.
The couple welcomed twins in the US in October 2023. They held their traditional wedding in June 2024.
Earlier last week, Davido and Chioma arrived in Florida via a private jet adorned with welcome flowers and a chair labeled ‘MRS’ for the white wedding.
The music act recently revealed that the highly anticipated white wedding cost over $3.7 million.
Chioma also revealed why she agreed to marry the singer.
