OYO, Nigeria – The Olubadan-in-Council on Monday nominated the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Oba Rashidi Ladoja was nominated at a meeting of the council held at Olubadan’s palace, Oke Aremo, with the Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, presiding over the meeting
The Balogun Olubadan while speaking on the outcome of the meeting disclosed that members of the Olubadan-in-Council have all agreed and nominated Oba Ladoja as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“We will forward the resolutions of our meeting to our governor, Seyi Makinde. He will now pick a date to present a staff of Office to the new Olubadan,” he said.
The Balogun Olubadan added, “The late Olubadan,Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, will be buried this week. So, this week is not feasible.
