LAGOS, Nigeria – The Board Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr. Gbolabo Okudero, has praised the Lagos State Government’s pilgrimage services, stating that they are the best in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by Adeola Olagoke, AD (Public Affairs), of the board. She stated that during a courtesy visit to the General Manager of Eko FM/Radio Lagos, Mr. Jide Lawal, Dr. Okudero highlighted the state’s exceptional service delivery, citing top-notch arrangements for security, safety, accommodation, feeding, and transportation.
Dr. Okudero attributed the success to the state’s collaboration with the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission and emphasised the presence of trained staff, medical personnel, experienced tour guides, and renowned clerics to cater to pilgrims’ physical and spiritual needs. He encouraged intending pilgrims to take advantage of the subsidised, safe, and reassuring services, with two batches scheduled for July/August and November/December.
In response, General Manager Jide Lawal congratulated Dr. Okudero on his appointment and pledged to promote the Board’s activities through his radio stations, aiming to increase patronage among intending pilgrims.
