…A Turkish football expert made an interesting submission for the reason behind Osimhen’s trophy-winning form
Adnan Aybaba, a Turkish football analyst, made an interesting comment on Osimhen’s career and the sharp upward trajectory he has been on since the season he led Napoli to the Scudetto title.
This 26-year-old is set to lead another club to a league title as top scorer, and Aybaba argues that his talismanic rise is a result of intentional therapist work that began after a heartbreak.
What Aybaba said
Aybaba is a big admirer of Osimhen and has praised him on multiple occasions. After the Nigerian had a big performance in the 5-1 thrashing of Eyuspor that moved them closer to the league title, he said: “During his Napoli career, Osimhen broke up with his girlfriend, got worn out, then went to a psychologist and fixed himself. That’s why he’s so fit and his football is so good.”
As far as the validity of Aybaba’s submission goes, there were reports during Osimhen’s stint at Napoli that he broke up with his girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Stefanie Ladewig.
However, Pulse Sports lifestyle reporter David Ben gathers that the pair are still partners and live together in Istanbul. Ladewig is currently on holiday in Dubai with their daughter, Hailey, but she’s expected to be on the pitch for the imminent Super Lig trophy celebrations, as she was after Osimhen led the Partenopei to their first league title in 33 years.
Meanwhile, football analyst Ilker Yagcioglu was full of praise for Victor Osimhen, stressing the defensive part of the Nigerian’s game, which he believes has gone understated, following the triumph over Eyuspor.
The 26-year-old has scored 31 goals for the Cim-Bom this season and is leading their ambition to a league and cup double. While he has received praise for his offensive qualities, for Yagcioglu, Osimhen’s defensive output has been as impressive.
